Participation in the 26th EURETINA Congress in Vienna
Dr Asterios Diafas participated in the 26th EURETINA Congress, held in Vienna, which brought together leading retinal specialists and researchers from around the world.
During the congress, he presented two scientific studies entitled “Radiation Retinopathy, Maculopathy & Toxic Tumour Syndrome: Prevention & Management Strategies” and “Proton Beam Radiotherapy for Uveal Melanoma: Outcomes from the Largest UK Cohort”. The presentations focused on strategies for preventing and managing complications of ocular radiotherapy, as well as outcomes following proton beam radiotherapy for choroidal melanoma, based on one of the largest patient cohorts in the United Kingdom.
His participation provided a valuable opportunity to present his research to an international scientific audience, exchange knowledge and expertise with distinguished colleagues, and strengthen his international scientific network in the field of ocular oncology.
