Completion of the EURETINA Mentorship Programme 2025–2026
Dr Asterios Diafas completed the EURETINA Mentorship Programme 2025–2026 under the guidance of Professor Jens Folke Kiilgaard, an internationally recognised specialist in vitreoretinal surgery and ocular oncology. The programme provided a valuable opportunity for his scientific and professional development, with a focus on the management of complex clinical cases and contemporary therapeutic approaches.
As part of the programme, he visited Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, where he expanded his clinical and research knowledge through collaboration and the exchange of expertise with his mentor and other specialists, while further strengthening his international scientific network.
